ABOUT
WILBRAHAM UNITED CHURCH

GET TO KNOW US

Wilbraham United Church is a place where someone from any walk of life can feel comfortable.  We trust that God works in you and me, and that together our faith grows even deeper.  We’re committed to service and sharing our space for the good of the community and to the glory of God.

OUR HISTORY

We are two faiths united by Christ

In 1913 our church became a merged congregation of the Congregational and Methodist Societies.  Since then the two denominations have worked well together as one church body.  We celebrate as both a congregation that recognizes the traditions and values of both the United Church of Christ and the United Methodist denominations.

We are a church that believes that Love is the most important value of all.

We are a congregation that values wisdom and laughter equally.  We find joy in the work that we do together.

A CHURCH OF EXTRAVAGANT WELCOME

We believe that our Church is a forum for fellowship with people we may never have met or befriended without our church connection.

We offer an extravagant welcome to any and all we meet!

OUR
MISSION

The Wilbraham United Church is

an open and caring community of Christians who gather to hear and share the word of God.  In the spirit of Christ, we minister to one another through worship, prayer, education, and fellowship.  We seek to live our faith by example and action in service to the larger community.  We welcome all who wish to attend our services, participate in our various Christian educational offerings, and join in our fellowship.

OUR

VISION

Be a part of the Vision

We have a dream of growth and being a place where our neighbors can find love and support.  As such we have defined specific dreams that will help us to find our way to ministry in our community.

We dream of empowering parents and nurturing children in faith.

We dream of nurturing the faith of senior citizens.

We dream of welcoming those who are searching.

We dream of being a community of healing for those who are struggling with mental illness and substance abuse.

We dream of growing in love of our neighbor of other faiths.

We dream of being a welcoming and nurturing community for all.
