Eight college scholarships have been established in memory of church members. Each spring high school seniors and college students may apply by completing an application. The WUC Scholarship committee meets to select those who will receive the scholarships. All applicants must be members of the church. There is a ninth scholarship reserved for someone who is going to seminary.
Many of WUC's outreach projects fall under the United Church of Christ or the United Methodist Church. Support includes fund raisers for One Great Hour of Sharing, Neighbors in Need, Blanket Sunday, National One Warm Coat Drive and the Cropwalk. WUC also supports a dental mission in Nicaragua and water missions in South Sudan and Mozambique. Future projects include responding to the Opioid Crisis and making a commitment to Links to Libraries.
